What is the PROLITE?

Indeed, if you have any skin imperfection, the PROLITE System can probably improve it .The PROLITE utilizes a patented form of Intense Pulsed Light technology. How long does the IPL procedure take?
It depends on the area being treated, but in general a single treatment takes only fifteen to thirty minutes.
Does Intense Pulsed Light Therapy hurt?
There can be some mild discomfort associated with light-based procedures like IPL, but at GemVie MediSpa we pay special attention to your peace of mind, and have a variety of methods of minimizing discomfort and anxiety to make your procedure as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
Is IPL safe?
IPL treatments have shown an excellent safety profile in millions of patients treated worldwide. The advanced technology of the IPL unit allows for the light energy applied to the skin to affect only the targeted structures, leaving surrounding tissues unaffected.
Is more than one treatment needed?
Yes. Optimal results for any of the conditions treated with IPL may require up to five treatments, spaced two to four weeks apart. Also, a person’s tendency to spots and blemishes is unchanged by this therapy, so even though the treated lesions are eliminated, more may form with time, and ongoing therapy may be necessary to keep them under control.
When will I start to see results?
You will likely notice some improvement in your skin after the first treatment, with improvement in both tone and coloration. Improvement will continue with subsequent treatments.
Is there any “down time” after the IPL procedure?
Very a little. Skin may be transiently flushed immediately after treatment, but this resolves promptly. As with most light-related procedures, the treated area will be more sensitive to sunlight for a week or so, making sunscreen necessary when outdoors.
